David Starfire and Black Octopus Sound have collaborated to create Loops For Good, a new brand of sample packs in which 10% of the proceeds benefit a grassroots charity for those in need.
The first Loops for Good pack, "Enchanted Thailand & Burma," contains sounds recorded during David's trip to South East Asia to produce his Karuna album. Due to the ongoing political crisis in Burma/Myanmar, over a million Burmese refugees now reside in Thailand. David worked with local musicians to learn about their culture and help this underserved community. All of the musicians featured in this pack were compensated for their work, and a portion of the net proceeds will be donated to the Thai Freedom House in Chiang Mai to fund educational programs for Burmese refugee children.
Native drums, gongs, flutes, xylophone, fiddle, harp, cymbals, and vocals are among the unique instruments included in this one-of-a-kind sample pack. The names of some of the musicians who performed on the instrument are also included. This is the first pack to include the highly sought-after signature sounds from David Starfire's personal collection of Drum Hits, Basses, and Ableton Instrument racks that will take your electronic dance music or hip hop productions to the next level!
David Starfire produced, mixed, and mastered this sample pack, which is full of charm and enchantment. Because it was primarily recorded in refugee camps, temples, and field recordings, this pack has a distinct character that studio-produced sample packs cannot match.
